Prof. Pamela Mbabazi is a Professor of Development Studies and currently the Executive Chairperson of the National Planning Authority. In this role, she is a member of the Cabinet and Advisor to the President on National Development. She has also recently been appointed to the Advisory Board of the Africa Hub for Warwick University.

Previously, Prof. Mbabazi has served as:

• The Head of Research at the African Peace and Security Program of the African Union at the Institute for Peace and Security Studies, Addis Ababa University.
• A Professor of Development Studies at the Mbarara University of Science & Technology (MUST).
• A Deputy Vice Chancellor at the Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST), and
• The Dean, Faculty of Development Studies

Prof. Mbabazi’s areas of expertise are in Development Planning, Political Economy, and Governance Studies.
