We are excited to share our upcoming study trip to the oil fields in Hoima. This trip presents a unique opportunity to delve into the heart of Uganda's burgeoning oil industry, a sector that promises to be a significant driver of the country's economy in the coming years.
Hoima, located in the western region of Uganda, is home to the country's largest oil fields, which are estimated to hold over 6.5 billion barrels of oil. Our visit will provide us with a firsthand look at the operations and technologies involved in extracting and processing this valuable resource.
During our time in Hoima, we will have the opportunity to engage with industry experts and local communities to gain a comprehensive understanding of the social, economic, and environmental impacts of oil exploration and production. We will also explore the measures being taken to ensure that the benefits of the oil industry are maximized for the people of Uganda while minimizing its negative effects.
We are confident that this study trip will be a valuable learning experience for all of us, and I look forward to embarking on this journey together.
